1. Introduction
MathGyro ("we", "us", "our") operates the website mathgyro.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws. By using our website you agree to the practices described below.
2. Data Controller
The data controller for mathgyro.com is MathGyro. You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy-related inquiries.
3. Information We Collect
MathGyro is a static website and does not require registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information through the site. The only data we may process includes: anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (if enabled), device type and browser information sent automatically by your browser, and locally stored preferences (theme, calculation history) which remain on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not set tracking cookies by default. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled, it may set first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions. You can block these via your browser settings or a cookie-management extension. We use browser localStorage to save your theme preference and recent calculations. This data stays on your device and is not sent to any server.
5. How We Use Information
We use anonymous analytics data solely to understand which tools are most popular, identify technical errors, and improve the user experience. We never sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
Google Analytics 4: if enabled, collects anonymised traffic data. Google's privacy policy applies to data they process. Google Fonts: loaded from Google's CDN. Google's privacy policy governs their font-delivery service. Cloudflare Pages: hosts our website and may collect minimal server logs. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
7. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months in Google Analytics. localStorage data persists until you clear your browser storage. We do not maintain any server-side database of user information.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Since we collect minimal data, most of these rights are satisfied by design. Contact us at [email protected] for any requests.
9. Children's Privacy
MathGyro is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
